Oday

Oday is a 19-year-old remarkable student who wishes to study medicine in the UK. Through our research into undergraduate opportunities for medicine in the UK, we have found his best pathway will be through Chemistry initially.

He has received many academic accolades throughout his education, and engaged with extra-curricular pursuits before October 7th — including hosting his daily college radio station ‘Stand Up and Talk’ and working in his school’s cultural library. His school and local university are both now destroyed.

Oday lives with his parents, grandparents and six younger siblings in a tent, displaced from their beautiful home and farm — which have been destroyed, their land now in the ‘yellow zone’. Despite this, Oday remains positive, inspired, dedicated and committed to studying. He scored a 96.1 grade average in his Tawjihi exams, studying from a pile of books in order to pass.
